Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular Surgery Department


Minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and technique involving a variety of common heart diseases. The scope of treatment includes heart valve disease, coronary atherosclerotic disease and some aortic aneurysm diseases in adults. The techniques involved including upper sternal minimal incision surgery (for aortic valve disease with ascending aortic disease), right side small incision and total thoracoscopic surgery (for mitral valve disease, aortic valve disease, tricuspid valve disease, and joint valvular disease), robotic surgery, and interventional prosthetic valve replacement. In 2018, the minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery was established with 15 approved beds.
